Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias will meet with the country’s state and political leadership of Albania.
Τhe Minister of Foreign Affairs will first meet with Albania’s acting Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Gent Cakaj. The talks will focus on bilateral, European and regional issues, with emphasis on Greek-Albanian relations, developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, and the European perspective of the Western Balkans.
While today the chairman of the Justice, Integrity and Unity Party, Shpëtim Idrizi, made a statement to the media, in which he announced that the police had rejected the request of PDIU to hold a peaceful protest in front of the Foreign Ministry.
Idrizi said that the reason that the police refused to give permission to hold the protest, is due to anticovid measures, while according to him, every day it is seen that SP and Edi Rama meet according to their agendas.
The PDIU leader stressed out that holding the protest on the day when the Greek Foreign Minister visited Tirana is to remind him to take into account the demands of the Albanians, the abolition of the law of war, and the “issue of Cameria”.
Idrizi, meanwhile, stated that the protest will take place by all means, despite the fact that the police have not given permission for it to take place./abcnews.al
