Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that Parliament will vote the changes to the Electoral Code without having to wait on an opinion by the Venice Commission.
“I have also made it clear to the commissioner that Parliament will not wait another second because we have the 25th April elections ahead of us and there’s no need to become part of the adventure where Ilir Meta is inviting us with the only aim of sabotaging this process. The Venice Commission is more than welcome to send us its opinion. That opinion will then be discussed with all political forces in the country and will help us address any issues which may come up after 25th April ,” stated Rama./abcnews.al
