The Prime Minister confirmed during the SP Congress the intervention in the price of electricity for a band of consumers. Rama said that 5% of consumers consume 25% of electricity for family subscribers.
Consequently according to him, those who spend a lot have to pay more.
“Very soon we will set another price for electricity for those who consume more than the rest of the population because they are richer.
5% of consumers consuming 25% of electricity. “We cannot continue to treat them with the same care as we do for pensioners, families of teachers, nurses, etc.”, said Rama.
Rama warned earlier about the intervention in the price of electricity for the layer of subscribers who spend a lot according to him. The first announcement came during a meeting with food importers a few weeks ago where the prime minister said they had started doing a study on it. It seems that the study has already been completed and the government has found that 5% of subscribers consume ¼ electricity for household subscribers. According to the Prime Minister, it is precisely this band that will have to pay more for electricity.
