At the extraordinary cabinet meeting this morning, Prime Minister Edi Rama has again given an ultimatum to owners who have built buildings that have been damaged.
Rama demanded that the persons concerned has to go to the emergency offices and pay according to him one by one the damages.
If this does not happen, according to Rama, these people will be in prison.
“We are also working with the new legal and criminal framework on construction abuses. The special anti-corruption unit has started preparing all the maps needed.
I want to appeal to all those who have built collective buildings that have been damaged to come urgently to the relevant office of the plenipotentiary emergency manager in Durres and make a statement of willingness to pay for one-on-one buildings from their surface to the damage caused to people.
I make this appeal that it will be too late for them, whoever shuns will be charged by justice and we will seek imprisonment.
These are damages that do not threaten the viability of the building but it makes willingness impossible ”, Rama said./abcnews.al
