The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, has spoken to journalists about his candidacy for the position of Secretary General of the OSCE.
“The prime minister has given me a very big position. It is a very important negotiation and allow me not to put pressure on my colleague.
I hope to serve Albania and all other countries”.
Regarding to the voting process of immigrants, Hasani said:
“It has been a long-standing commitment of the government and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in line with the identification of the number of Albanians wherever they are.
It is a very difficult process and we are trying. There was a commitment through Albania and the number was small, about 8 thousand Albanians.
We know that 8 thousand Albanians live in just one city in France. It is important as a process to commit ourselves to all Albanian immigrants.
On the other hand, we also have a commitment to the Albanians living of Diaspora, who have also the passport of the countries where they live, and we aim that they have the same opportunity as everyone else.
