Central Election Commission has reacted after the completion of the counting of votes for the partial elections for Mayor of Himar Municipality. CEC underlines that the vote counting process was smooth and that everything was monitored by the CEC technical staff. Preliminary results for the 36 voting centers: The candidate proposed by the electoral entity “Socialist Party of Albania”, Mr. Vangjel Tavo received 5022 votes (58.62%).
The candidate proposed by the electoral subject, the “Together We Win” coalition, Mr. Petraq Gjikuria received 3545 votes (41.38%).
“The progress of the vote counting process was smooth, it was monitored by the technical staff of the CEC and the preliminary results were broadcast in real time on the official website of the CEC and the CEC Application”, it is further stated in the reaction of the CEC ./abcnews.al
