The Chamber of Deputies approved with 155 votes in favor and 115 against (2 abstentions) the draft law for the ratification of the Italy-Albania agreement on immigrants, “for strengthening cooperation in migration issues”.
The agreement enters into force on the date agreed between the parties and remains in force for 5 years with the possibility of silent renewal unless one of the parties no longer wishes to do so.
Within 90 days of the entry into force of the agreement, it credits 16.5 million euros as an advance of a large amount of refunds related to the first year of application.
Afterwards, the Albanian side will communicate to the Italian side the amount of expenses incurred in the previous semester./abcnews.al
