Police officers went this Friday to the apartment of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha. Based on the procedure, the police will verify the implementation of the security measure by Berisha.
Special Court toughened the measure against the former prime minister by accepting the request of SPAK, which is investigating him for “passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials”, carried out in cooperation with the affair for the privatization of the former Partizani complex.
According to the judge Irena Gjoka’s decision, former Prime Minister Berisha is ordered not to leave the apartment where he will be under periodic police surveillance and must not contact other people except family members who are in the same apartment with him.
