2024 budget has been approved this Thursday morning with 74 votes in favor, while the session closes after 8 minutes due to the tensions. At the launch of today’s plenary session, the opposition MPs clashed with the Guard of the Republic, which has been put on standby to ensure the maintenance of order during today’s session in the Assembly, where the budget for 2024 is expected to be approved item by item.
MPs tried to collect the chairs in the middle of the Assembly hall, they were prevented by the Guard. As can be seen from the images above, more than 40 employees of the Guard are committed to avoid the parliamentary chaos that has accompanied the legislature in every session during the last month.
Re-establishment has once again warned of chaos and blockage of work in the Assembly, after the 10-day expulsion of 6 deputies; Sali Berisha, Flamur Noka, Edi Paloka, Albana Vokshi and Elda Hoti, as the protagonists of the tensions last time to sabotage the work of the Assembly with firebrands.
Guard officers surrounded the floor of the Assembly about 1 hour before the start of the session, in order not to let the Reestablishment MPs continue with their usual scenario of overturning the chairs, however without result.
