Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPAK) closed this Thursday the investigations for the former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako, and for the other defendants, who are accused of abuse of office in two cases.
Eleven people have been charged, while only one has been requested by the prosecution to dismiss the case, and it is about Meri Semini.
Vangjush Dako was arrested on June 6 by order of the Special Prosecutor’s Office with suspicions that he abused his duty in two cases.
The first has to do with the granting of permission for the construction of a building in Durrës in violation of the law, while the second is the issue with the tender for the coastal development project, which increased its value 10-fold.
In total, together with Dako, 10 arrest warrants were issued, 7 of which with prison arrest and 3 under house arrest.
