Ilir Panda, elected deputy president of the Supreme Court

The general meeting of judges of the Supreme Court held this Thursday the procedure for the election of the Deputy President of this Court.

Referring to the requirements of Article 26, point 3 of Law no. 98/2016 “On the organization of judicial power in the Republic of Albania” as well as decision no. 7, dated 21.12.2018 “Regulations for the approval of the rules for the election of deputy presidents of the courts” of the High Judicial Council, after the process of verifying the fulfillment of the legal criteria for the submitted candidacy, in the presence of judges and assistant magistrates and with voting rights, the General Meeting continued with the voting procedure.

In the end, Ilir Panda was elected with 25 votes as the deputy president of the Supreme Court./abcnews.al
