Prime Minister Edi Rama stated this Thursday that Former President Hashim Thaçi and the three Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) commanders are now in The Hague facing the judicial process, even though they gave everything for the freedom of Kosovo.
In his statement from the Parliament, the Head of Government raised the question on why a draft resolution is not prepared for Thaçi, but he is crossed with the most diverse comments, giving a bad example to the younger generation, which has not experienced that period.
“These are the same ones who not only abandoned the Prime Minister of Kosovo after the war in The Hague, but also in his absence, when his hands are tied and his mouth is closed, they insult him wildly with the whip of a scandalous populism with a campaign on the networks in Kosovo.
It seems that Kosovo has not yet been freed from Serbia, but it is implied through these messages and brief comments that as it was freed from Hashim, it will also be freed from Serbia. This is an educational disloyalty and it is not simply a disloyalty to those in The Hague. They are there because they brought the freedom of Kosovo, but it is an educational disloyalty towards the whole young generation of Kosovo, who have not seen the war and thanks to the contribution of these people, they easily fall prey to minds that are not as good as they should be.
They brought this draft resolution that became the reason for this debate, and those who bring such drafts more often to bring the communist dictatorship from the grave, are they telling us today why they did not bring us any draft resolution to called on the democratic world to investigate the source of the judicial process for Hashim Thaçi and three other KLA commanders.
I for one know why the majority did not bring a draft resolution for what you just said. Honorable ladies and gentlemen, this is the state assembly and it is not the house of 7 parties, of a state that has all the tools at its disposal to raise this issue internationally and I will do it anywhere and anytime, in front of anyone as it has done and I will I always do”, said Rama.
