Special Court hearing on sterilization tender case postponed

The appeal of GJKKO decided to postpone today’s session in charge of the persons arrested for one of the discussed issues, such as the sterilization file. The former Deputy Minister of Health, Klodian Rjepaj, and the businessman who won the tender for the sterilization concession, Ilir Rrapaj, were arrested for this matter.

They were arrested in August for the concession of sterilization equipment, the value of which was estimated at 100 million euros. Abc News journalist, Ermal Vija, says that the two arrested have requested a change in security measures, but their request is expected to be considered on Wednesday.

“They requested a change in the security measure from the one with prison arrest to a lighter measure, but the session has been postponed to take place tomorrow at 09:00 as one of the lawyers of the arrested has not been legitimized at the session, and for this the court decided to postpone it”, the journalist reported.
