Director of Shkodra Police, Ervin Hodaj has held this Friday in a media conference, where he spoke about the recent criminal events that occurred in this district.
In his speech, Hodaj revealed that regarding the assassination attempt in Dukagjin, where Lek Guri was killed and Gjin Guri was injured, until now there is a suspected perpetrator, Gjovalin Guri, who has a family relationship with the victim.
He added that the conflict is suspected to have started due to the occupation of forest lands in that area, while regarding the injury in Malesia e Madhe, Hodaj said that the incident has been clarified and the perpetrator has been arrested.
Meanwhile, the police director said that yesterday evening, thanks to the quick intervention of the police in Vaun e Dejës, it was possible to prevent a serious incident, two people had a conflict, and one of them fired a firearm at the other person’s vehicle.
“Meanwhile, in Malësi Madhe, the police services, in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office, made it possible to clarify the incident that happened on 27.09.2023, where at around 9:50 p.m., the citizen E.G., who is outside danger to life. Thanks to the timely response of the police services and the professional investigative actions carried out by the investigative team, it became possible to catch and arrest the suspected perpetrators, citizens I.B. and S.B. (father and son), for the criminal offense “Deliberate serious injury “.
In the framework of prevention, yesterday evening, the services of the Vau i Deja Police Station made it possible to prevent the further escalation of a conflict between two citizens. As a result of the timely response of the Police services, the citizen A. L., 39 years old, was put in handcuffs, who shot a firearm in the direction of a parked vehicle, used by the citizen E. P. At the time of the arrest, the 39-year-old objected with violence against police officers.
