Rama: The Agreement of 5th June will not stop us from going beyond

P.M Rama, speaking from the Assembly, referred to yesterday’s vote of the Law Commission on openlists and the prohibition of coalitions.  Rama said where the coalitions are being removed but in fact is beng prevented the deviation of the vote.

The head of government said that in this case a framework is being created: “Coalitions will function as in any country in Europe”.

Rama also stated that the threats from the parties “do not exist and will not work.”

The head of government also said that “the reaction of the presidential and extra-parliamentary opposition is unacceptable, either ethically or politically and nationally.”

Rama stated:

“Yesterday, the Law Commission opened the way for the participation of citizens not only in the election of parties, but also in giving consent to MPs without jeopardizing a major achievement of the SP, and other political forces over the years, representing women in the Assembly.

As for the approval of 5th June draft in the Law Commission with the votes of the socialist majority, and not by consensus, Rama stated that there was no consensus as the parliamentary opposition “refuses to accept the non-depoliticization of the voting and counting commissions./abcnews.al
