Minister of Defense Olta Xhacka informed this Tuesday that 200 people are engaged by the Armed Forces of Albania to manage the situation of the burning of forests in Albania in these hot summer days.
Xhacka says that they were sent to Seman, Shkodra and Lezha, which are also hotbeds of fire.
“The massive fires that have hit forests and pastures in recent days have received our immediate response. 200 boys people of the Armed Forces engaged in Seman, Shkodra, Lezha, etc. are giving their best to guarantee the security of citizens and the protection of national wealth.
And they will continue to do so with every opportunity, every resource, asset and tool we have. But this cannot be just the battle of the Armed Forces!
This must be the battle of all of us, of every citizen, and above all of every local government structure that the law charges with responsibility to secure the lives and property of Albanians,” said Xhacka./abcnews.al
