The meeting of the Re-establishment Commission has started at the headquarters of the Democratic Party. The meeting is chaired by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
The meetings of this commission have been moved to the building of the Democratic Party, after the Court of Tirana, recognized a few days ago the statutory changes of the Assembly of December 11.
According to this decision, “Reestablishment” leads the Democratic Party until the election of the new president, after Lulzim Basha was voted at that time to be dismissed.
Meanwhile, today’s meeting comes after yesterday’s meeting of US Ambassador Yuri Kim and Enkelejd Alibeajt, which once again brought tension in the blue camp. The American chief diplomat called Alibeaj the commanding chairman of the Democratic Party, thus not recognizing the “Re-establishment”.
On the other hand, the Re-establishment Commission, which recognizes Alibeaj only as the chairman of the parliamentary group, reacted harshly after this statement.
