A day after she was appointed as the 7th member of the Constitutional Court, Sonila Bejtja is expected to be sworn in today before the President of the Republic, Ilir Meta.
Through an announcement, the Presidency informs that Mrs. Sonila Bejtja was summoned today at 12:30 for the oath ceremony.
Albanian Constitutional Court started functioning some days ago with the appointment of the 6th member, following a two-year suspension. However, this Court has in total 9 members, so there are two other members needed in order for it to be fully functional.
Judges of the Constitutional Court remain in office for 9 years, without the right to reappointment./abcnews.al
