For the third time in almost a week, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama appealed to the oil workers of the Ballshi refinery to suspend their hunger strike.
Rama wrote on Twitter that he would be ready to discuss with over a solution, but not through “ultimatums and pressure”.
“Come out of the strike and I’ll come to you immediately”, wrote the prime minister.
On the other hand, the strikers have told the Prime Minister that they are ready to discuss but without suspending the strike.
Women oil workers have entered on the ninth day of the hunger strike, after replacing their colleagues whose health deteriorated significantly. The oil workers of the Ballshi refinery demand their 26 arrears, while so far there have been no official negotiations with to find a solution./abcnews.al
