Fotaq Zaharia, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison for murder, passed away at QSUT. The 64-year-old man died in the early hours of Monday in the intensive care unit of QSUT, where he was diagnosed with respiratory insufficiency and was being treated since August 16.
The convict was serving a sentence of 25 years for murder and was initially admitted to the Prison Hospital on July 22, 2024.
The deterioration of his health condition required his transfer to QSUT for specialized care. Heads of the Institution, Police Station No. 4 and the Prison Internal Control Service (SHKBB) have been notified of the next procedural steps./abcnews.al
