Tirana Police has arrested an Albanian national from Tirana who was found guilty of “Criminal group” and “Narcotics trafficking” by the Italian justice. The perpetrator was Areld Murati, 35 years old, who will be extradited to the neighboring country.
This arrest was made in continuation of the work to apprehend persons declared internationally wanted, as a result of the continuous exchange of information between the Local Police Directorate of Tirana and the OGC Interpol Tirana, as the police announced.
“The Narcotics Investigation Section, together with the Sector of the Special Operational Force in the Local Police Directorate of Tirana, made possible the temporary arrest and detention of the Albanian citizen Areld Murati, 35 years old, resident in Tirana, for the purpose of extradition to Italy.
The court of Turin / Italy has sentenced this citizen to 7 years and 6 months of imprisonment for the criminal offenses ‘Criminal Group’ and ‘Narcotics Trafficking’, provided by Italian legislation”, the law enforcement said./abcnews.al
