The decision of the Transparency Board comes after a strong increase in the price of fuel ten days ago, reaching a maximum price of 270 ALL / liter for both oil and gasoline.
This happened when the price of oil on the stock exchange reached over $ 130 per barrel, but now that it has dropped below $ 100, the decrease is being reflected very slowly. The day before, the board decided that the price was 211 lek / liter while the price on the stock exchange was around 95 dollars / barrel.
If we were to compare the periods and the price of oil on the stock exchanges, it would have to go down below 200 ALL / liter in Albania to see a stabilization of the situation.
