Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, addressed to all the Albanians today through a video message about the situation with Covid 19.
He said that it is already a fact that the second wave of coronavirus pandemic has hit us and that the situation is getting worse day by day.
DP Leader called on the citizens to be protected as much as possible, because as he said, the health and economic system is heading towards collapse.
“It is already clear that the second wave of the pandemic has hit Albania and the situation is deteriorating day by day. The number of those who have lost their lives to the virus, those hospitalized and those infected with COVID is increasing tragically.
I express my condolences to all the families who lost their loved ones in the battle with the coronavirus.
There is nothing more painful than the inability to come to the aid of sick relatives and relatives.
The country is in a health and economic crisis, without any measures and a plan for its management. Hospitals are overcrowded, emergencies are full of citizens waiting for help. Doctors are overwhelmed, unprotected and without the necessary tools to fight the disease. Some of them have paid with their lives.
I want to express my gratitude, respect and solidarity to the doctors, nurses and all health personnel who today are doing their best to come to the aid of citizens, without support and in very difficult conditions.
The country needs economic leadership!
This government has failed to manage the situation. Today, Albanians are more threatened and poorer than any other citizen in the region.
We have supported from the beginning every step in the protection of human health and have offered solutions.
Nothing is more precious than your life and health. Therefore I urge you to show maximum attention and care to protect yourself, children, parents and family,” stated Basha./abcnews.al
