Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP) Lulzim Basha has presented Thursday the economic plan of his party with the slogan “Albania wins”, touching one by one on all the commitments that he as a prime minister and his team will take over.
Basha said that this program comes after about 2 years of work with the best experts in economics, finance, tourism, health, social affairs and with international partners.
Besides, he added that the DP wants to bring forward a work program, a government program that will serve the citizens and not a party and that this is a program that will make Albania progress. DP’s Chair also stressed that the plans are not promises, they are indisputable commitments.
“This is a program that will take Albania forward, immediately after winning the April 25 elections. You have heard so many promises these eight years, you are tired of those who promise you the world and give you nothing. It happened to the outgoing prime minister who promised hundreds, thousands of jobs, but in fact with him and under him, the ranks of the unemployed increased and thousands of those unable to work were deprived of their bread and butter, social assistance.
He promised to reduce the cost of living for 97% of the Albanians, but with it, the cost of living for Albanians has increased in record figures. 40% during the years of his rule. He promised to make our economy stronger, but our economy is in total collapse and crisis and is completely destroyed and unable to face the daily challenges of the Albanian.
This will end. This culture of promises and then their total abandonment will end. That is why I have not appeared before you today to promise things that never come true. The plans we are starting to unveil today and the coming weeks are not promises. They are indisputable commitments”, declared the Leader of DP among others./abcnews.al
