The Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPAK) has closed the investigations and has sent the former head of Himara, Jorgo Goro, to the Special Court (GJKKO) for trial. SPAK accuses Goro of abuse of office in two cases, as well as of concealing assets. In the capacity of the mayor of Himara, he forwarded to the competent bodies forged documents alienating a piece of land from the ownership of the state to the ownership of private entities.
These areas of about 10,000 square meters have been seized by SPAK and former MP Artan Gaçi was the final beneficiary.
Also, SPAK has doubts that Goro has not declared a residence as his property. SPAK has sent the request for judgment to GJKKO also for Goro’s former subordinates. Jerasimo Bashi, former Director of the Directorate of Land Management and Protection at Himar Municipality at the time of the commission of the criminal offense, accused of committing the criminal offense “Abuse of duty”, committed 2 times, provided for by article 248 and 25, of the Code Criminal; Bilbil Aliaj, former Director of ZVRPP, Vlora local branch, at the time of the commission of the criminal offense, accused of committing the criminal offense “Abuse of duty”, provided for by article 248 and 25, of the Criminal Code; Vezir Gjikokaj, former Lawyer of the ZVRPP, Vlora local branch, at the time of committing the criminal offense, accused of committing the criminal offense “Abuse of duty”, provided for by Article 248 and 25, of the Criminal Code; Stavri Mehilli, accused of committing the criminal offense “Forgery of seals, stamps or forms”, “Forgery of documents” and “Cleaning of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity”, provided for by article 190/2, 186/ 2 of 287, of the Criminal Code.
At the end of the preliminary investigation, it has been proven that the defendants Jorgo Goro and Jerasimo Bashi, in cooperation between them, in two separate episodes, have committed actions and omissions contrary to the law, in regular failure to fulfill their duties”, it is stated among others in the notification of SPAK./abcnews.al
