The Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime has given priority to all cases submitted by various entities, related to criminal offenses in the field of elections, “Active corruption in elections” and “Passive corruption in elections”, or to entities various, which are the investigative competence of this prosecution.
In the period March – April 2021, a considerable number of reports were submitted by political entities, various citizens and the judicial police to the Local Directorates of the State Police.
The Special Prosecution has assessed all these cases seriously and has provided legal solutions on a case-by-case basis, notifying at the same time the subjects that have submitted them.
For all cases where criminal proceedings have been initiated, the judicial police under the direction of special prosecutors are carrying out all necessary investigative actions in order to clarify the reported facts and bring to justice the persons against whom the involvement in corruption will be proven. active or passive in elections.
