European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy, Oliver Varhelyi declared Monday that Albanian should wait for the opinion of Venice Commission regarding the Constitutional Changes of 30 July.
This suggestion of Varhelyi came as President of the Republic, Ilir Meta has returned for review in Parliament of amendments in Electoral Code and has sent to Venice Commission for opinion this issue.
#Albania electoral code: I trust @VeniceComm will provide swift advice to Albanian stakeholders on the implementation of Constitutional Changes of 30 July. Parliament should consider waiting w revote to take this advice into account. Look fwd to free&fair elections in April 2021.
