The President of the Republic Ilir Meta host the Ambassador of Ukraine, Volodymyr Shkurov. He is the first Ambassador of Ukraine resident in Tirana. The Head of State stressed out that “this is a historic event for the relations between the two countries.”
In the meeting, President Meta assured Ambassador Shkurov of the clearly and unwavering position of Albania in defense of the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
Meta, among other things, assessed the relations between the two countries, emphasizing at the same time that there is more to do, especially in terms of economic and trade cooperation.
Meta expressed gratitude to President Zelensky, also the desire to host him for an official visit to Albania./abcnews.al
