Defense minister reveals information on fires situation

Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi this Tuesday in a statement to the media gave details about the situation created by the fires in the country and preceded the presence of bad weather in the last days.

Peleshi stated that fortunately thanks to the work done by the authorities, it became possible to keep the fires under control without any loss of life.

“In the last days of the hot summer, which is not over yet, where we enter another season of public emergencies such as that of rains. This year the civil defense has worked the best and we have successfully managed 465 fires and we have maintained the primary objective, we have not lost any lives, we have preserved the properties of Albanians, we have preserved a large part of the forest areas.

Among other things, he emphasized that the presence of rain this season is another challenge, so he called on the citizens and relevant authorities to be as attentive as possible to avoid any disaster.
