Durres, teen arrested after crashing pedestrian to death

A 19-year-old man has been arrested this Monday by Durres police for the criminal offense “Violation of traffic rules”, resulting in the death of a person.

According to the police, the young man accidentally killed a 50-year-old pedestrian while he was walking with a ‘Benz’ type vehicle in neighborhood no. 17 of the city.

Following the crash, the 50-year-old was immediately taken to the hospital but could not survive his injuries.

Meanwhile, the procedural materials have been passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durres for further actions.
