The Kosovo police arrested Ridvan Muharremi in his restaurant. Police officials did not speak to the media after his arrest. Meanwhile, this arrest of Ridvan Muharrem comes as a result of the scandal related to the state reserves, specifically to the recordings for oil.
The Kosovo Police today launched an action with controls in the Ministry of Trade and Industry after the publication of an audio interception about the wheat and oil scandal.
In this audio-interception, published a few days ago, conversations are heard about payments for 9 tons of wheat that were supposed to enter Kosovo for the state’s reserves, but in fact never arrived.
The Special Prosecutor’s Office says that in addition to businessman Muharremi, two other people have been arrested, namely; the director of the Division for State Reserves of Goods, Hafiz Gara, as well as the director of the Department for European Integration and Policy Coordination, Irfan Lipovica.
