The Institute of Public Health today confirmed six new cases of coronavirus in Albania, five of which are in the city of Tirana.
Thus, Tirana counts 55 out of 76 positive cases of coronavirus in Albania, thus becoming the center of infection in the country.
Yesterday, five new cases were also confirmed in Tirana, bringing the number of affected to 11 in the last two days alone.
The last five cases confirmed in the capital are from contacts with infected people.
To date 778 tested cases are suspected and of them positive confirmed with COVID-19, 76 cases.
Of the total confirmed cases, 59% are male and 41% are female.
While the geographical distribution of positive cases is as follows:
- Tirana55 citizens
- Durres 5 citizens
- Lushnje 2 citizens
- Elbasan 2 citizens
- Fier 8 citizens
- Rrogozhinë 2 citizens
- Kavaja 2 citizens
So far, 2 victims were confirmed.
