Two people have been arrested and a third has been declared wanted after it was discovered that they were trafficking cannabis sattiva narcotics from the USA to Albania using the postal service.
Police announced that as a result of the operation, 5 kg of cannabis sativa, with a high percentage of THC, worth 90,000 euros and divided into packages, 5 mobile phones, 8,000 euros, and other sums of money were seized.
Meanwhile, cousin of one of the arrested has been identified as 23-year-old Gledis Dikellari, while the second person is a minor.
“Narcotics Investigation Specialists, in cooperation with the Directorate of Customs Investigation in the General Directorate of Customs, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, after several months of investigative work, have finalized the police operation coded “Chicago”.
As a result, a group that trafficked narcotics from the USA to Albania, through the ppstar service, was hit, and citizen G. D., 23 years old, and a 16-year-old man were arrested. Citizen S. K., 23 years old, was also declared wanted.
The three citizens, in cooperation with each other, trafficked narcotics with a high percentage of THC, from the USA to Albania, through the postal service.
As material evidence, 5 kg of cannabis sativa with a high percentage of THC, worth 90,000 euros if sold to users, 5 mobile devices, 8,000 euros and other sums of money were seized”, said the police.
