Aurel Lazaj, 37-year-old has been handcuffed the Tirana Police this Friday, after he was caught with firearms and ammunition in a bar. During the coded operation “Surprise”, the firearm and ammunition were seized.
In the meantime, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana for further actions.
“Services of the Narcotics Investigation Sector of DVP Tirana, following the work to prevent and combat criminal activity in the field of illegal possession of weapons, based on the information provided on the operative route in a bar on “Him Kolli” street, there was an armed citizen, they organized and finalized the coded police operation “Surprise”, for his capture.
During the operation, the Police services intervened in the bar where the citizen Aurel Lazaj was staying, and during the physical check they found a firearm, a pistol with combat ammunition”, the police announcement stated.
