The National Security Council meeting called by President Ilir Meta lasted 60 minutes.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Edi Rama, Parliament Speaker Gramoz Ruci, Rama government ministers, Chief Prosecutor Arta Marku and State Police Chief Ardi Veliu.
Journalist Juxhin Mustafaraj says that Prime Minister Edi Rama has left recently and also other representatives have left the Presidency.
In the meeting was discussed how the post-earthquake situation will be managed on the ground.
This is the first time Meta calls the National Security Council after the tragic earthquake.
