The Parliament has approved the request of the Council of Ministers to pass with an accelerated procedure a draft law on weapons and ammunition. This caused debates from the opposition, where MP Jorida Tabaku said that the law is changing twice in a few months at the request of an operator. But according to Ermonela Felaj, it is about a new draft law.
“It is not about changes in the law on weapons, it is a new law. It was not in vain that I asked for the regulation of the examination of trading and development of weapons. It has nothing to do with gun laws. It is a new bill.
We are also clear with the procedure that the regulation imposes on us. The Council of Ministers has the right to submit such a request. The committee responsible for this bill will be the committee for National Security.
The review of the draft law will take place on July 25,” Felaj said. Felaj stated that the consideration of this draft law will take place in the session of July 25./abcnews.al
