The session for the re-evaluation of the security measure against the 9 accused for the affair of the Fier incinerator has ended. Journalist Ermal Vija reports that Judge Irena Gjoka has withdrawn to decide whether or not to accept the SPAK’s requests.
The Special Prosecution Office issued 9 arrest warrants in connection with investigations into the construction of the Fier and Elbasan incinerators. In addition to the former Minister of Environment, Lefter Koka, the administrator of the company Integrated Technology Services Klodian Zoto, the prosecution also requested the arrest of the deputy Alqi Bllako and the administrator of the Fier Incinerator, Arenc Myrtezani.
The prosecution has also asked the court to investigate 7 members of the commission for the concession of the Elbasan Incinerator and two others under house arrest. Azem Shatëri, Florjan Muçaj, Erjon Murataj, Sabina Cenameri and Etleva Kondi, who were members of the concession commission, are also charged with abuse of duty.
According to the prosecution, these citizens, in cooperation with Bllako and Koka, have violated the law on Public Private Partnership to favor the company Integrated Technology Services, which won the concession.
Meanwhile, for Pëllumb Abeshi and Etleva Kondi, have been taken the same measures. Bardhyl Çabiri is also in prison in Elbasan, as well as Jonida Zeqo and Serafin Papa under house arrest.
In addition to the seizure of the assets of Koka and Bllako, SPAK has seized 14 apartments, 3 commercial units with a total area of 297 m; 1 real estate of 147 m² and a building of 126 m² and 8 commercial companies and all assets owned by commercial companies.
