Prime Minister Edi Rama stated this Thursday that two international organizations have made very good assessments for the country.

“In the latest assessment of the prestigious report ‘Index of Democracy’, by the intelligence unit of ‘The Economist’, Albania, for the first time in 3 decades, has an increase and practically overcoming. Albania has moved out of the hybrid mode category, moving to a higher category. We entered the class, according to the index, not according to me, with the EU countries and the USA. Other countries in the region, such as Bosnia, Montenegro or North Macedonia, are still listed as hybrid regimes,” Rama said.

According to him, the government is praised for democratizing reforms, and especially “Electoral Reform”.

“So much discussed and cursed, it is considered one of the main reasons for this improvement because, with this reform and the dismantling of the old formula of coalitions, our country has entered another class. There is no place to be happy, as I believe there is potential to achieve much more. But international institutions make their assessments based on facts, not political agendas,” Rama further declared.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister stressed that the recent report of Standard and Poor’s confirms for Albania stability and stable perspective, which does not happen with many other countries.

“It is predicted that the Albanian economy will grow by 4.5% if there is no other wave that forces us to close again”, underlined Rama./abcnews.al
