The pursuit and arrest of Nuredin Dumani became the headline of the news on the evening of March 29, with the police who gave an extraordinary press conference at 01:00 this morning, where they clarified the circumstances of Duman’s arrest and the suspicions of his involvement in the assassination attempt on a BMW in Elbasan.
Duman is charged with 7 murders, which started right after the robbery of Rinas in April 2019. Nuredin Dumani was arrested by Special Forces in Fier, after a phone call, where a person was reported injured.
Dumani was arrested in an apartment in the city of Fier, where he was found injured by police officers. Duman’s arrest took place around 22:00 on Tuesday evening, after all the State Police had been put in search of him, after the incident on Tuesday afternoon, where an exchange of fire was reported near the village of Papër in Elbasan.
Dumani had gone to take refuge in Fier, after a gun battle in Papër, Elbasan.
The General Director of the State Police, Gledis Nano in an extraordinary press conference made public the details of the arrest, saying that at the moment he was handcuffed, Dumani was injured.
After he was arrested, Dumani was sent for treatment to the Fier Regional Hospital, and then to the Military Hospital in Tirana.
The assassination in Elbasan

A few meters away from the place where he was shot, the BMW was found by the abandoned police. The people who were inside it have left.

The Prosecution has previously issued two arrest warrants against Dumani and has enough evidence to implicate him as an executor in at least seven murders.
Nuredin Dumani was the right hand of the wanted Talo Çela, who has also been declared wanted by the police, after being accused of a series of murders.
Dumani has previously been accused of prostitution, but since 2022, he has been charged with murder.
