A major anti-drug operation is ongoing. The Special Prosecution has signed 23 arrest warrants for narcotics cultivation.

It is learned that the operation to arrest the suspects is taking place in Skrapar. For 23 suspects, the measure was given in absentia.
Thus, in the official announcement, SPAK says that illegal actions have been documented committed by some police officers of the Skrapar Police Station, involved in this criminal activity and specifically the police officers Neritan Naska (Chief of Poliçan Police Station), Klement Zeqo, Bardhyl Çela, Astrit Duro on duty as police officers, as well as public officials, citizen Edmon Zotko on duty as Administrator of Terpan Administrative Unit, Fatos Lamaj, on the position of Chief of Çorrogjaf village.
These citizens, through their actions or inactions, have allowed the cultivation of narcotic plants in the territory where they exercise their functional duties and competencies, as well as have favored the perpetrators who have cultivated narcotic plants.
“From the investigations carried out, such as telephone interceptions, observations carried out by the judicial police, it results that in the territory of Skrapar district were cultivated narcotic cannabis sativa plants in different places, almost throughout this territory.
Several episodes of narcotics seizures and suspects involved in this criminal activity have been documented. Narcotics of the type cannabis sativa were documented and seized in 28 episodes, in which irrigation plants, and shelters were set up for the employees who worked in these plots and all the necessary infrastructure for this criminal activity”, it is said in the announcement of SPAK.
These persons are charged with the criminal offenses of “Cultivation of narcotic plants”, “Production and sale of narcotics”, committed in a special form, that of “Structured criminal group”, as well as the criminal offense of “Laundering the proceeds of crime or criminal activity “/abcnews.al
