At 11:00, the congress of the Socialist Party starts, where 156 of the 350 members of the National Assembly will be elected, where 3/4 of them are expected to be new members. The other members are automatically due to their function (Assembly Speakers, MPs, Ministers, Mayors). Panel discussions will be divided into three areas, where exponents within the government and the party will give speeches.
Good governance, anti-corruption and SP’s internal affairs will be discussed, where the focus will be on the re-energization process and tours with Albanians abroad. This congress will also serve the SP for starting the selection of MP candidates for the 2025 parliamentary elections, as announced by Prime Minister Rama in the June assembly.
