Prime Minister Edi Rama has confirmed Friday to the Albanian citizens damaged by the recent floods that the state will compensate all the negative consequences.
During a press conference regarding the situation in question, while he has made a balance of damages, he said that he will compensate them, just like in the case of 2010.
However, it is up to the respective municipalities to evaluate the damages in their areas, noted the Head of Government while pointing out that this time have been swamped most of the unproductive lands.
“The number of damaged dwellings is entirely minimal, and it is up to the municipalities to make assessments. In the Obot area, where there have been problems with livestock transport, food was guaranteed by the Ministry of Agriculture and it was immediately passed to farmers to feed the cattle for 10 days.
Most of the lands flooded this time are unproductive. There are no considerable damages, but any damage that should be legally compensated, we will do it. We have also compensated the damages of 2010”, said Rama./abcnews.al
