Prime Minister Edi Rama this Tuesday morning was part of the ceremony that is taking place for the selection of the winner for the International Competition for the “Skenderbeu” Stadium Project, a New Center of Korça.
In his speech, Rama expressed that the construction of new stadiums will help us to create better economic spaces and a further development in the way of tourism. Among other things, the head of government has emphasized that in 2025 Albania will become the host country for the organization of the European Youth Football Championship.
“It is a big deal for Albania and football that an Albanian leader is included in the UEFA committee, this helps us to organize some events. In 2025 we will organize the European Youth Football Championship.
It is very important in terms of our project in schools and for children that with the Albanian Football Federation we have an increased opportunity for tourism by providing infrastructure and logistics for foreign teams to come and train in Albania, I think that Korça will have a new path in this regard,” stated Rama.
