Speaking from the rostrum of the Assembly on the issue of President Meta, Prime Minister Edi Rama said that Meta has committed violations, but they are not serious enough to dismiss him.
Referring to the report of the Venice Commission, Rama said that “for the sake of our position, we can not ignore that point, the report which says that despite all the violations, they are not serious enough to justify the dismissal.”
Regarding the election of the president years ago, Rama said that he did not foresee that “Meta would be so good for the opposition which has resulted bad for Albania.
Regarding the violations, which according to him were committed by the president, Rama said:
The president has exceeded his powers, violated the principle of the sovereignty of the people, did not respect the principle of unity of the people, these are facts established on the basis of the opinion of Venice, legally proven. /abcnews.al
