Prime Minister Edi Rama has congratulated the Orthodox believers on the Easter holiday. Through a post on Facebook, which he accompanied with a photo of a boy holding a candle in his hand, the head of government wrote: “Good morning. Happy Orthodox Easter”.
At midnight, Orthodox believers across the country celebrated Christ’s resurrection. With the expression “Christ is risen”, they celebrated what is known as a special moment of faith, the resurrection of Christ three days after his death on the cross, a symbolism for the rebirth of hope, the transition from the temporal to the eternal and liberation from sin, through strengthening faith in God.
