Edi Rama called President Meta a taliban today at a plenary session and said that the majority’s actions to supplement the Constitutional Court are 100% agreed with the US and EU.
The Assembly approved a resolution asking the Constitutional Court ,not to recognize Marsida Xhaferllari as a judge while the SP says it will bring some constitutional changes restricting the President’s freedom.
They called an extraordinary session to do a trial to Ilir Meta but the hall was empty. The arrival of the Prime Minister brought to the hall not only the majority but also the new opposition.

On the clashes between the majority and the President for the Constitutional Court, the prime minister does not blame the legal gaps.
For this, the SP predict that the constitution will change rapidly in parliament and justice laws, limiting the role of the president.
The Assembly approved with 97 votes in favor, a resolution that request to the Constitutional Court not to recognize Marsida Xhaferllari as a judge, even if was decreed by Meta.
This decision of the Assembly is not binding and does not nullify the presidential decree. /abcnews.al
