Prime Minister Edi Rama has accused this Thursday the opposition and a number of personalities in Kosovo – who criticized the stance of the Albanian government regarding the event of September 24 in Banjska – of using the murder of policeman Afrim Bunjaku for electoral purposes.
During the interpellation held in the special session for the approval of the Kosovo resolution, PM Rama emphasized that the official mistakes made by Pristina as well as the diplomatic victimization of Serbia have made it difficult for Albania to help in this matter.
According to the head of the government, there are some in Pristina and Tirana who cannot understand that Albania has managed to rise to another international level and is seen as a factor of peace and stability in the region.
“Until yesterday, Albania was a passive factor of change and stability, while today it is more active. We do not do this to look good in front of the international factor, but for ourselves in the first place, for Albania and for the entire Albanian nation.
This is increasingly seen with respect by the international community. Albania has the honor to be part of the international community and has the luxury of playing with two goals. Our approach requires building bridges, including with Serbia.
What exactly is the problem with Albania’s reaction to the Banjska event, rather than the evil mouths they have here and 10 years or so throwing mud at me and the Socialist Party.
This is why in Pristina and Tirana perhaps the next patriotism rose from public or media profiles, portals immediately against me personally as Vucic’s brother. When the indictment of my treason came out in one of the biggest propaganda scams. It was very painful to see on both sides of the border the misuse of the case of the murdered policeman for electoral purposes.
By feeding hostile feelings towards me, but forgetting the divisive effects of these quarrelsome political stunts. It’s a pity, abusers who inflame people into enmity”, said Rama.
