President of the Republic, Ilir Meta focused this Wednesday on the Albanian economic situation, raising the concern it is marking an unstoppable regression.

The head of the state highlighted that this economic situation was planned by those who want to capture votes through pressure.

Referring to an article by Arben Malaj, Meta says that the escalation of the political crisis increases insecurity for citizens, entrepreneurs, and investors.

“When the election fever and the crazy plans to capture votes with the dirtiest pressures have started prematurely, the economic situation in the country is marking an unstoppable regression.

The escalation of the political crisis in these conditions becomes even more threatening for the stability of the country and increases the insecurity for the citizens, the enterprise, and the investors.

Therefore, I fully support the assessments and recommendations of Prof.Dr. Arben Malaj for the right path to follow to get out of the abyss. As he rightly points out:

‘Reconstruction starts with reducing uncertainties and uncertainties about the future.’

‘Some of the main reasons for this option are the risks that individuals and private domestic and foreign investors may await the 2021 parliamentary elections to make decisions to increase their investment; bilateral and multilateral donors are slowing down the disbursement of soft grants and loans. The government has failed to absorb donor funding for the quake.’

‘The government continues to apply preferential public-private partnerships, which will produce heavy costs for the financial consolidation of the country. Improving the recovery of our economy during 2021 requires a series of structural reforms for a model of healthy economic growth, where the weight of the green economy and the knowledge economy increase and where the benefits of economic growth are better shared.’,” said President Meta./abcnews.al
