Seismologist Alessandro Amato, director of the Tsunami Alert Center of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology in an Italian media interview about the tragic earthquake that struck Albania states that such a force could have killed 300 people.

“With such magnitude there could be 300 victims.  It can’t be said that it “went well,” but it could have been worse, ”he says in an interview with Corriere della Sera.

Asked what the situation would be in the following days, he replied: According to statistics, there will be further tremors. Only yesterday there were 250 and will continue for months and years.

It is normal. Over time they will decrease in number and size, but if it will be another stronger quake, that’s not to be excluded. /abcnews.al
