Gjiknuri demands the meeting of the Political Council: We must discuss the openlist

The co-chair of the Political Council for Electoral Reform Damian Gjiknuri has requested the meeting of the negotiating group on the Political Council on Tuesday (July 28), at 11:00.

In the meeting is expected to be discussed  the issues in previous meetings, if the constitutional amendments that are already in parliamentary procedure allow or prevent the opening of 100% of the lists for candidates for MPs, as proposed by the extra-parliamentary opposition. Also, whether constitutional amendments allow or impede coalitions.

Gjiknuri says that in the meeting will be discussed the presentation by experts of the product so far for the new election law that enters into force in 2023 and the steps they should follow for  final approval./abcnews.al
